Amy is a twenty something's girl living in a 300 something square foot apartment in Winnipeg, Canada.
Having always dreamed of a career writing about design, Amy moved out west to attend design school in the hopes of someday working for a lifestyle magazine. Since graduating with a diploma in interior design, Amy has worked as a junior designer for a Winnipeg-based firm, as a marketing + press assistant for an internationally known stationery design company, as a social media associate for Canadian furniture design brand, and as a freelance designer and writer.
Amy started A DESIGN DOCK back in December 2010, in the midst of all this, as a place to share her passion for the design industry. In her first year of blogging, Amy focused primarily on documenting the renovation of her former condo (they had a really amiable split in September 2011!). Later, she branched out to include posts on all aspects of stylish and soulful living.
After a brief hiatus to focus on her day job, Amy is happy to be back and writing about design/life, just like she always has. She's glad you stopped by!
