I was recently gifted this fabulous set of framed floral needlepoints from a close friend. She was overseeing the sale of Herbert's estate, an elderly gentleman with an impeccable sense of style and the most fascinating collections!
These beauties didn't cost me a penny, but I smile every time I pass by them. Isn't that the kind of reaction art should evoke? Which art pieces in your home brings you the most joy? Would love to hear all about them!

What a wonderful gift ... the frames themselves are incredible! I think art can evoke many emotions - but in my home I want it to make me happy and make me smile when I look at it as well! Right now I am longing for a large canvas by Michelle Armas - now that would make me happy!!! :D xo Sherri (P.S. finally following - sorry it took me so long to get over here!)
ReplyDeleteNo problem Sherri! Welcome here! Thanks so much for popping by and sharing your current art obsessions!
DeleteWhat once went around, certainly has come around!! Great balance b/t looking both "old" and surprisingly and refreshingly "new". So happy they make you happy. :)
ReplyDeleteYou described the perfectly! They feel fresh, yes old-school all at once!
DeleteOoooh I am so jealous over here!! But I am so happy they found a home that loves them. Can't wait to see the big reveal!
ReplyDeleteHaha...thanks Lisa ;) I wish I had a second set kicking around that I could share with you!
DeleteThose are really lovely! Subtle florals always add a cheery touch, I think. And those frames dress them up perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThank you Courtney for visiting the blog. So glad you dropped by for a visit :)
DeleteVintage florals are always the best mood-lifter, aren't they?!
Oh Amy! The frames...the needlepoint...it's all so good! I love them and your room is going to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! Thank you so much. Glad you're liking everything so far :) I'm getting really excited about the way it's all coming together. xo

Yay! So sweet of you to say so Erica!
DeleteOh these are lovely. I really have to put art work up. One of the few things I have managed to put up is a small still life in the kitchen that an aunt painted. It definitely puts a smile on my face and reminds me that I come from a line of creative souls :-)
ReplyDeleteI love paintings and other artwork done by family or close friends. Can't think of a better way than to surround yourself with things that bring your loved ones to mind!
DeleteGORGEOUS! I'm so jealous! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much!!!
